The outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus in the Chinese city of Wuhan and province of Hubei, has had major impacts on travel within and from China. The Health Ministry of the Government of the UAE currently deems the risk of the Coronavirus to UAE residents as low and the World Health Organization has not deemed this a global health emergency. However, the Coronavirus is being treated as a health emergency in China with the Chinese government implementing aggressive measures to combat the spread of the virus.
As of now, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Health Ministry of the Government of the UAE have not imposed a travel ban on individuals travelling to UAE from the People’s Republic of China on the basis of the coronavirus concern. There will be heat scanning at air and seaports in the UAE as a precaution. Individuals who feel unwell can visit health facilities at the airport and seaports.
